FAQ FROM KUREDU RESORT

Q Do I need to bring beach towels, or are these provided?
A. Yes, we will provide you with all the towels you will need.

Q Is there satellite TV in the rooms?
A. Sorry we do not have TV in our rooms yet, but we do have a TV room with satellite TV service.

Q Could you please explain the meal plan, and the type of menu that is available?
A. Meals in the main restaurants; Bonthi & Coamas, are all buffets with a wide selection of different menus changing every day.
The Sanghu Restaurant is exclusive for the guests in the Sanghu Water Villas and the Sangu Jacuzzi Villas.

Q Please advice us on the method of payment?
A We do not accept cash at any of our outlets, bars or restaurants or anywhere on Kuredu.
You will sign a bill on any purchase. We will debit all your bills to your room.
You will then settle your account at the end of your stay (in the afternoon - the last day of your stay) at the reception counter.

Q Which credit cards do you accept?
A. VISA, Master Card & American Express

Q Please let me know whether you accept traveller’s cheques as payment method.?
A. Yes! We do accept traveler’s cheques at Kuredu.

Q Can traveller’s cheques be cashed on the island and are there any charges?
A When changing Traveller’s checks there will be a bank charge of 3%.

Q What is the best currency to bring is it US Dollars?
A. US Dollar is preferred all over the Maldives but we do accept all “hard currencies” like; EUR, GBP, CHF.

Q Will I need much ready cash?
A. It is advisable to have some cash at hand when travelling.

Q Can you please let me know what kind of electrical sockets do you have in the rooms?
A We have square pin electrical sockets in all our rooms.

Q Is their a safe in the room or reception?
A We do have safe in the rooms as well as in the reception.

Q Does your shop sell tailored shorts?
A. Yes.

Q What about cell phone coverage? Is it possible to use European GSM phones in the Maldives generally and specifically Kuredu?
A. A lot of European GSMs do work here at Kuredu. Please visit www.dhiraagu.com.mv for details on roaming agreements.

Q Please confirm if the resort offers babysitting facilities?
A. Sorry we have no such facilities at Kuredu yet.

Q Can we rent Badminton- or Tennis rackets on the island or do we have take them with us from home?
A. No you don’t need to bring them from home as you can hire them in the Kuredu sports club.

Q How is the weather now?

Q Is it possible to plug the laptop into the phone in my room ?
A. Yes.

Q How many shoes do I need?
A. No Shoes No News is our motto. But a pair of flip-flops and / or gym shoes could come in handy sometimes

Q Do you have mosquito nets in the room?
A. We do not have mosquito nets in the rooms. It could be advisable to bring insect repellents if you know that you are attractive to the mosquitos.

Q Please can you advise me if you are having any gala Meals or special event on New Years Eve?
A. We do have a "GALA DINNER" on both Christmas and New Years and our guest relations staff also host special activities for the occasion.

Q Could you please advise me the effect that Ramadhan has on tourists at your resort, for example, is alcohol still available?
A. Ramadhan effects the clients very little. Alcohol is still available also during Ramadhan.

Q Do you have email and internet facilities available to the guests?
A Yes, we have an internet café in the shop. You can also plug your laptop into the telephone in your room.

Q Can we book directly with the Hotel?
A Yes, you can email us.

Q Can we reserve a specific room?
A Yes, again you can email us.

Q Is it possible to get married on Kuredu?
A Sorry, this is not possible as Maldives is a Muslim country and does not allow it. But it’s ideal for your Honeymoon. Check out or Honeymoon link for our Honeymoon specials and offers.

Q If we have booked a Beach Bungalow or a Beach Villa, can we dine in the Sangu Restaurant and use the Sangu Bar?
A Yes, you can dine in the Sangu Restaurant but you will have to pay a supplement. You are also free to use the Sangu Bar, but unless you are a Sangu patron, your All-Inclusive package does not include Sangu Bar.

Q If we have booked a Sangu Jacuzzi Beach or a Sangu Water Villa, can we dine in the Bonthi & Coamas Restaurant and use the main Bars?
A Yes, as a patron in Sangu, you can dine in any of our main Restaurants, only the A la Carte Restaurants are not included in your package.
